The Rick Mercer Report was the nations best watched and best-loved comedy show according to Rick Mercer. It could have very well been but I’m just going to take his word for it. There were 15 seasons, 250 episodes, 250 rants and 480 stories across miles spent traveling across Canada.

Rick Mercer Final Report brings never before published rants from the last 5 seasons and a selection of the very best rants from earlier years.

The performance and intelligence Rick Mercer brought to the show and brings to this book (yes, even through these pages) is wonderful. Obviously perfect for fans of the show but also great for those who enjoy hearing about Canadian culture, rants or is interested in learning a bit of Canadian history through comedy.

I can’t say that I watched very many episodes of the show but I, of course, caught some when my father would watch. When I did catch the show it was always entertaining, enjoyable and could always make you laugh but also think about current issues. Rick Mercer Final Report does the exact same thing with peaking your interest and laughing along the way while reading thought the best rants of the show but also the never before published rants too.

I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of Rick Mercer so until then this book is a great option to pick up and crush your need for a good ol’ Rick Mercer rant.
